So it's been a long time since I typed those words ....challenge completed. It's not like I haven't been working towards completing any, but life has got in the way of doing any of the travelling ones...that and a ban on flying until I get the all clear from the doctors to do visit some foreign visits. But this one challenge 24 complete up to level 21501 on gardenscapes is one that not only has taken me pretty much since the start of attempting this list but also one that has had a side effect of me making some new friends.
It's one of the most basic puzzle games out there, one that most of us have played in the past. You match three, four or five matching coloured gems, you pass levels and there's other little challenges to navigate. It's very similar to the game columns on the mega drive which I was obsessed with when I was ten years old. It's an easy game to play, you can knock off a few levels in a short space of time, but then you come across a very difficult level it can drive you to levels of pure anger that I've only felt a few times in my life, mostly involving dodgy referees and annoying customers.
Playing has kept me entertained during train journeys, waits in hospitals, boring shifts at work and many more places. I added this one to the list mainly to test my levels of patience, I've started many of these games before, played for a bit then given up when I reach a level that stumps me. This was mainly about endurance, you can see from when I first published the list that it was to get to level 16501 and ended up 4000 levels higher, mainly due to the fact i want to make sure I could say in a Jay from the Inbetweeners way 'completed it mate'. It's an easy one to cross off, albeit time consuming and now the levels have been completed I'm not sure if I'll carry playing as much, maybe I'll play something else who knows?
The friends I've made doing this was unexpected but Leah, Fardot, Holl, Mitch, Gill, Sue, Carol, Molly and Craig, we've got our little whatsapp group that we chat about anything and everything from pizza toppings, to family issues a few bad jokes. We're making plans to meet up sometime next year and have a party. We're all scattered throughout the country but early discussions have put Leeds as a possible destination, somewhere I haven't visited in years, and am looking forward to it.
Challenge 18 in the bag only 82 more to go.
